Questions
Is the validator itself free?
Yes. Files you open or paste are validated in your browser, on your machine, so they cost us nothing to check. That stays free on every plan: up to 1 GB with a confirmed account, 50 MB without one.
What counts as an API validation?
Every POST /api/v1/validations, whatever its outcome; a .zip or .epub sent in one request counts each document it checks. Fetching results, listing schemas and checking your usage are not counted. The count resets on the 1st of each month (UTC).
What happens when I reach the monthly limit?
The API answers 429 until the next month starts. There is no overage billing and no surprise charge. We email you when you have used 80%.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from Dashboard → Billing. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then the account moves to Free. Your keys, schemas, monitors and history are kept; anything over the Free limits (monitors included) stops working until you remove some or come back to Pro.
Who handles payment and tax?
Paddle.com is our reseller and the merchant of record for all orders. They take the payment, add VAT or sales tax where it applies, and send the invoices.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If Pro isn't right for you, write to [email protected] within 14 days of a payment and we'll refund it.
