XML Signature
XML Signature (XMLDSig) core
The structure of an XML digital signature: SignedInfo, references, digests and key information.
About
XMLDSig is the signature format inside SAML, e-invoices (XAdES), ISO 20022 and many government filings. The same core schema serves XML Signature 1.0 and 1.1.
Good to know
- Only the structure is checked. Digests and the signature value are not computed or verified.
- The example is by xmlvalid.com; its values are placeholders and do not verify.
