MARCXML
MARC 21 XML
MARC 21 bibliographic, authority and holdings records in XML, as exported by library systems.
About
MARCXML carries MARC 21 records field by field: leader, control fields and data fields with indicators and subfields. Library systems, OAI-PMH endpoints and catalogue exports use it.
Good to know
- The schema checks the record structure, not MARC 21 content rules (which tags, indicators and subfield codes are defined).
- The example is by xmlvalid.com.
