Why it fails

  • The seller has neither an identifier (cac:PartyIdentification), nor a legal registration identifier (cac:PartyLegalEntity/cbc:CompanyID), nor a VAT identifier.

How to fix it

Add at least one of them; usually the seller's VAT identifier in cac:PartyTaxScheme/cbc:CompanyID with the tax scheme VAT.

What the rule checks

As the rule set's publisher wrote it. The rule runs on every element the context matches, and fails where the test is false; the validator reports the line of that element.

In order for the buyer to automatically identify a supplier, the Seller identifier (BT-29), the Seller legal registration identifier (BT-30) and/or the Seller VAT identifier (BT-31) shall be present.
