ONIX for Books 3.1
ONIX for Books 3.1 (reference tags)
Book metadata feeds from publishers to retailers, libraries and aggregators, in ONIX 3.1 with reference tag names.
About
ONIX for Books is the metadata standard of the book trade: titles, contributors, prices, territories and availability. Retailers such as Amazon, Apple Books and national distributors ingest it.
The schema includes the ONIX code lists, so codes are checked as well as structure.
Good to know
- Retailers add their own requirements on top of the schema. The schemas are kept exactly as EDItEUR publishes them, as its terms require.
- The example is the sample file that ships with the schema.

The validator loads all of these with their folder structure, so includes and imports resolve as published.
