- Level: error
- Rule sets: e-Rechnung.gv.at checks (UBL) Fehlerliste, October 2026

- Test: `$order = '' or at:order-number($order) or matches($order, '^[A-Za-z0-9]{3}(:.{1,50})?$')`

In English: The order reference is not valid: it must be an order number (ten digits), a buyer group (three letters or digits) or a buyer group, a colon and a reference of up to 50 characters.

## Why it fails

- The reference is an internal number of the buyer or of the seller, or a buyer group was given with spaces or with a hyphen instead of a colon.

## How to fix it

- Use the form the federal office gave you: 4700012345, Z01 or Z01:111599. Mind the difference between the letter O and the digit 0.
